It will work on Windows 10. I don't see any advantages to updating Omnicam at this point unless Sirona eventually recommends.
Installing the software will automatically delete 4.4 and overwrite. However, you certainly can uninstall before hand if you would like (what I do). You will just have to reenter all parameters, etc...

PSA: not quite sure how I did this, but at one point when installing an update to premium, I managed to delete my entire patient data folder. I have actually done this twice over the years. Would not have been a big deal except I had several preop biocopies and implant cases I was still going to use. Had to reappoint several patients. You guys might want to copy your data file to another folder for the install just in case.
Maybe Mike has a better strategy.

I would check to see how much space you have on your C drive before installing Windows 10. My Omnicam is an older Omnicam ( I think 500GB HD?), and I've started getting the red warning light on the C drive. My Patterson tech was in last week doing annual maintenance, and he said Sirona is not really sure why these drives are filling up, but they suspect Windows. They are recommending reimaging my C drive. I'm not exactly sure what the difference in "re-imaging" and "formatting" are, but he said he has done this before and you do gain space.
I say all this to say, I would assume Windows 10 takes more space than Windows 7.
Thanks Cary. My c drive is pretty lean, but as there does not seem to be a clear advantage per Mike, not going there at this time. I have another machine in my office that is win 10, which was the real reason for the question. Screaming gaming PC that I use for CBCT, and other cad softwares. Want cerec on there primarily for guide design, or non-same day cases that I work on, as well as case review.
