Can’t Say This Enough: Save Early. Save Often

In 4.0, if you are doing Biocopy – the new name for Correlation – you might find that the machine is locking up on you, especially with older systems and with larger cases. You might be imaging for a quadrant, and all of a sudden instead of hitting the arrow and going from the acquisition step to the model step, the software locks up and you lose all your images.  Not much fun.

By default, the 4.0 software saves once you go from the Acquisition step to the Model step, and the second time, it saves automatically is when you hit Mill. So with Biocopy, you might have spent the last 10 minutes doing your design only to have a hiccup and lose your entire case, design, images and all.

My suggestion is as soon as you are done taking your images – hit Save. Once you marginate – save again. Don’t forget to do this, or you will lose all your information.

As we say in the courses: "Save Early and Save Often."

We just finished 10 units biocopy upper maxilla, when we where taking the images of the wax up transfer it crashed, luckly we just had saved the preps.....and everytime when a proposal was being generated it tried to freeze, but luckly it did not...finally everything came out great!! :). I was wondering if I could put more RAM on it, my AC is one of the first ones...
