Emergency Patient: CEREC + OMNICAM + Telio CAD Blocks

The CEREC can sure save you in a pinch.  Emergency patient - broken 4 unit anterior temp.  No models, no wax up.  What to do?  With the Omnicam and Telio CAD blocks, we were able to image and mill out a whole new temp.  This case was done in biogeneric and the key is that you have to use the unadapted recalculation tool for each individual image to fine tune the proposals.  The magic actually happens once the restoration is milled.

A couple of suggestions, mill in fast mill, this will take about 20 minutes or longer to mill with a long span temp bridge like this.  Do your final contour and polishing to get the surface texture to match the adjacent teeth.  I typically will leave the concave areas shiny and convex areas dull.  Once you are done contouring, use a composite polisher to get the final shine.  Do not go too shiny as natural teeth are not shiny- its the saliva that makes it shiny.  Follow the adjacent teeth as a guide to the final texture and shine.

that is really really nice!

beautiful sam - well done!

Great result! Wich bur do you use to mill telio blocks? Can I use the same proportion water/ dentatec as for emax? Should I change burs and liquid only to mill a telio block? Thanks

Bruno- I used the same burs, same proportion , same everything. No need to change Nything in your mcxl to mill teliocad.

Hi Sam,

Awesome .just want to add that the gingival tissues will be in great shape when you are ready to proceed due to the excellent margins . This is a great service for the patient . I hope you charged enough!
