CEREC Helpful Hint - Cement TiBase

When you cement the abutment to a TiBase, you need to hold it together. Ivoclar recommends that you hold the pieces together for 7 minutes with the Multilink Hybrid  Abutment cement. Obviously holding it by hand is difficult for that long. Many users have suggested workarounds from pliers to vice grips. Here is my contribution. A hemostat with a rubber band around the handle to apply just a bit of soft pressure to hold the pieces together. Glue it together and set it aside until the cement sets.

I hope this is helpful:

Oops....can't figure out how to attach photo?

The clamp is called a 4.5" small trigger clamp and looks just like a larger version of the clamps used in woodworking. Sorry I can't figure out the way to post the photo, but you should be able to find them...

We are using small shop clamps as well. Any small clamp with soft rubber or grippy plastic jaws seems to do the job.
