cerecdoctors.com Scientific Symposium - Dr. Ray Bertolotti

In the early 1990’s before I started with CEREC, I wanted to know as much as I could about bonding. The Cincinnati Dental Society had great speakers for their continuing education series (they still do to this day). The first course on bonding that I ever took was part of the CDS continuing education series. Dr. Ray Bertolotti was the speaker for that course and it made a great impact on my professional career. In fact, you might say it got me on the way to incorporate CEREC technology into my practice.

Dr. Ray Bertolotti will be speaking at the cerecdoctors.com Scientific Symposium October 24 & 25 in Las Vegas. Dr. Bertolotti received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, after working as a Ph.D. metallurgical and ceramic engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. He is currently honorary associate professor at Warwick University in England. He is known for being one of the earliest proponents of “total etch” to North America in 1984. He also introduced  Panavia in 1985, tin plating in 1989 and self-etching primers in 1992. Dr. Bertolotti revived the original sectional matrix from near extinction and later designed the sectional Contact Matrix system. Flat adhesion onlays, "MicroPrime," "MicroEtcher" sandblasting and intraoral tin-plating are also his innovations. He is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials. He is a well-known international lecturer, having presented lectures in more than 30 countries.
