Insical Variation CEREC Case

Incisal Variation is a new tool in V4.2 that is often not talked about or mentioned with the new update.  I have to say, it's fantastic.  Those of  you that have taken the CEREC Level 5 InLab Proficiency Course in Scottsdale in the past (or Level 4 Anterior Course recently since we updated the curriculum) have been through my contouring exercise to take anteriors to the next level.  I have to say, this new tool does over half of the work for you!  It's amazing.

This is a case that I did today where I used it.  I've often thought that lower anteriors are the most difficult teeth to get right. It's very hard to form line angles and make them not look too rounded.  Most lower incisors are fairly flat on the facial with distinct line angles.

I probably over did it just a touch on this case, but it at least gives you an idea how it works.  I almost never post immediate post-op pictures... but since I haven't seen this patient since 2007... my guess is it will be another 5 years until I see him!  So... apologize for the messy final picture.

As an aside... you have to love CAD CAM where you can complete a RCT and a crown in an hour and a half!!
