Imaging the Scanpost... a No Cut technique

Using the Cut Tool is common practice when taking a preop or BioCopy scan and copying it over the preparation arch.  It's an efficient and effective way to scan.

When using the Gingiva Mask folder for chairside abutments, a similar method can be used... with a slight twist.  Take your Gingiva Mask Scan.

Then drag that catalog into the Implant Arch Catalog and copy it.

When copying the Gingiva Mask Folder to the Implant Folder, it's not necessary to cut the tissue out prior to scanning the ScanPost.  You can just image right over the top of the gingiva with success.
