Using the Scale Tool for Symmetry in CEREC Single Unit Implant Restorations

One of the most efficient tools I have seen when designing certain single unit restorations is the Scale tool. This tool allows the user to scale designated portions of the proposal to symmetrically increase or decrease the size of specific selected areas. A great use for this tool is implant crowns. When the design of the crown is completed, the Scale tool can be used to narrow or widen the width of the occlusal table if desired.

The Scale tool can also be used to increase the proposal size in a mesial-distal direction

or fully in all four directions.

The tool is activated by opening the move button in the Tool section, clicking on the Scale option, then, like the Anatomic function, moving the cursor over the design and highlighting the area of the tooth to be affected.
