Anterior eMax BL2 MT case stained with GC Lustre Paste

I inherited this case and I know the patient was frustrated with the lack of communication, and this lead to him switching to me. I was a little worried that he wasn't going to be a good patient by some of his initial comments but I made it clear with pictures, waxups and just general discussion of what we could achieve. He was interested in CEREC and so paranoid about these looking big and bulky like his prior bridge, that he wanted to see my proposals before I milled them...

Tough case nonetheless.  He was a bit brighter than B1 so I went with a BL2 MT block...geez...they are bright!

Tried it in and it didn't look too bad but definitely needed to be toned down.  So I used L-A and L-3.  The A stain to give a little more gingival color and the L-3 to lower the value of the crowns.  As many discuss, there is a bit of a learning curve for Lustre Paste, but I do love it.  The abutment block is a MO2 block...used an S-block for Biomet 3.4 implant

Gorgeous and tough with the mix of crown and implant! I'm shocked how "un-bright" that BL2 MT is! Great job staining it down. It looks very natural. He should be very happy.

Really well done Dan, you should be very proud of that case.

Very well done!

I think you and Kris need to do a lustre paste class combined with wine tasting (I think lots of great wineries in your area?). You guys set the date and I'll be the first student.

Sweeeeeeet!

We could totally do that! Any excuse to stay at The Allison! Maybe we could get GC to sponsor :)

Very nice !

Thanks for the really nice compliments...I remember when I posted one of my first cases and Ross encouraged me to keep on posting...it was in a lot of ways an intimidating compliment. As we see, there are a ton of very talented clinicians on this site. But at the same time, it is what has driven me to get better and given me practical daily hints, tips and knowledge to grow daily. The training I have received in Scottsdale with Levels 3,4 and opportunity to pick docs brains on this website is the primary reason I was able to accomplish a case like this. So thanks to all of you!
