Academy Online Continuum - Starts on October 6th

Greetings friends,

10 years ago when cerecdoctors.com was started, it changed the face of dental education.  cerecdoctors.com was one of the first websites in the dental space that used online videos to help supplement information and content that was being taught in the hands on courses.  The result as you all know is the creation of what we have today, the largest online community for CEREC owners in the world with access to more videos, content and information than anywhere on the planet.

Starting tomorrow, we are going to once again raise the bar of how information is shared for CEREC owners with our Academy online continuum.  The goal of the continuum is to have weekly "classes" focused on different disciplines of dentistry in an effort to create a comprehensive database of information for users.

We will start with implantology and then move on to other dental disciplines such as orthodontics, occlusion, esthetics, endodontics and more. Each session will be roughly 25 minutes in lenght followed by a Q&A and each session will be archived for future access and each session will be eligible for CE credits.

Members of the Academy will receive an invite tomorrow for the first session. The first session will be an introductory session where we discuss the logistics of the online continuum - goals of the sessions, accessing archived sessions, how to get CE etc etc.  After that, we will dive right into the continuum with CEREC Guide 2.  The majority of the implant sessions will be led by Dr. Farhad Boltchi but we will also have guest faculty as appropriate.

Listed below is an agenda for all the items we will cover with the implant portion of the continuum.  The continuum is included as part of your Academy benefit package.  If you have any addtional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at academy@cerecdoctors.com

Each session as mentioned is roughly 25 minutes so that we can get to the meat of the information quickly and we will allow for a Q&A as well.  Please know that the outline below is somewhat fluid and we will adjust it as needed based on the needs of the presenters to get their information across.

Im excited to have Farhad lead this continuum because anyone who has heard him speak and learned from him knows that he is a wealth of information on the subject of implant dentistry.

I LOVE YOU GUYS this Will give my learning curriculum à new boost

Truly Unbelievable!  What a privilege to be a part of such an elite group!

At the Accept event this past weekend it was obvious that many of the doc were interested in implants and CBCT + CEREC capabilities to restore!  Looking forward to this!!!

I know Farhad...25 minutes??? Is that a challange?  I say this with the greatest respect, but really, 25 minutes?

This is a great idea!  Looking forward to it.

This is very exciting! Thank you.

As an Academy member, is this available to my associate / staff as well?

How much education would there be on occlusion in the academy curriculum?

Thats mainly the spear part ?

Thanks

Very Cool, Thanks Sam!

JJ

Holy S&@#. That is a ton of material. Once again Cerecdoctors is raising the bar for dental education.
I'm sure I speak for many how proud I am to be a part of this group and what they are doing.

Very impresssive.

I'm going to have to become a full time student just to keep up.

Looking forward to "upping my game"

Thank you !

Winnie

I'm looking forward to the first session.  I haven't received an "invitation" yet.  What time will this happen?

That's exciting news!  I feel behind already in my video watching between here and Spear online!  Now I need to make sure to find time for this.  That's a pretty hefty agenda for 25minutes!  49 points to cover.  Is Farhad also an auctioneer?

I think those are 49 sessions in the Implant Continuum.

Guys,

its not 25 minutes for everything- its 25 minutes/session.

The invite will go out to Academy members first thing in the am.  The lecture is scheduled to start at 4:30 pacific.  There is not a time that is convenient for everyone so we will be recording and archiving each session if you cant attend live.

Please be on the lookout for the invite tomorrow. The first session is a welcome and introductory session where we will cover the logistics.  CEREC Guide 2 starts on Tuesday the 13th.

Wow what an incredible adjunct to CD. Huge amount of material Sam. Very impressive and I'm looking forward to this.

Is each numbered point intended to be a separate lecture? 6 & 8 specifically look to be fairly robust. Or, will there be a specific lecture for each sub-point?

Guys,

This is a very ambitious project. Our goal is not to provide a general overview but rather an indepth and comprehensive learning experience.

As Sam mentioned above the outline is still somewhat fluid but the reason for the lecture portion of each session being only 25 minutes is to allow for an indepth discussion of each topic followed by Q&A to allow the participants to ask questions to those specific 25 minutes of lecture material...This will allow the maximum learning benefit. However, this also means that most if not all of these topics will each require more than 25 minutes to cover, i.e. multiple sessions per topic.

Farhad

Baron,

we are in no hurry and will devote appropriate time to each section.  This is why I said the outline is somewhat fluid and will likely change as we dive deep into each topic.

Sam,  will you be following the lecture with a discussion topic on the boards  to deal with questions about the subjects covered?

Jim, That's the plan.  We can use this thread for follow up questions.  The first meeting tonight will go over some logistics.  Tonight will be short and sweet.  Next week CEREC guide 2.

This really is an amazing way to provide access to a lot of dentists. There is no longer an excuse for being behind in continuing our mastery of our profession! Nicely done Sam and by the way GFYS!!!

Thanks Sam, I am excited to begin use of the CERECguide 2.  The presentation should be pretty timely.  The design process seems very straight forward.  Where do we sign up for the presentation?

RSVP myself as a Yes Please! :)

Can't wait! This will be huge. Hats off to you guys for putting this together.

As only a premium member, I am considering upgrading ot the Academy Membership....

Espeically for the Academy online.  And if you can't make the time live, is there a way to watch at another time?

What else are the advantages?

All Webinars, the Monthly Ones (we are still doing a webinar a month) and the Continuum are archived. So you can listen live or listen later at your convenience. For other benefits, call Shayna or Trent, 877.295.4276.

Crap!! Sorry guys- we lost our entire internet here in Scottsdale! I think we got most of the message across

Sam:  Internet lost...but message got across!!  Should be an exciting learning series.

Will be a great learning experience.

All good Sam. Psyched to get started next week!

This is truly pushing the envelope on Dental Education.  Can't wait to start this.

Awesome!!!

Please don't hesitate to post any questions on this thread and we will address them appropriately

No worries at all. Great program!

There goes the Tuesday evenings with my family!

Very excited to get this started. big grin

Great information! I am excited to start learning.

Justin

My upcoming new office will space for a cone beam, but not the cash flow for one this year, and possible the next as well.  Will the whole workflow fall apart if I don't own a cone beam for a while?   Will workarounds be discussed?

The series is about planning and execution and restorations. You don't need a cone bean to learn about implant biology and restorations. So yes- much of the content will be applicable if you don't own a cone beam. That's just part of the puzzle.

Unfortunately i missed the opening session , it was 1.30 am here and i fell asleep. So i will have to wait for the online version..........sadsad

Thanks,

Now I'll have something to do on Sundays instead of watching the Bears

We will get each session online and available for academy members the next day. As mentioned, each session will be archived.

Sam, I thought you went out for an afternoon run yesterday (kidding!!)..really looking forward this CE endeavour...love the word "fluid"///

I received my invite today for next Tuesday's online continuum. I also registered so that way I know I will get the reminder.
