CBRCone Beam Radiology - Maximizing Your Understanding and Use of CBR Scans | 13 CE Credits

This course is designed to provide each participant with the fundamentals of CBCT imaging and the ability to maximize 3D scans for various applications in dentistry as well as provide a thorough grounding in reviewing volumes for pathological conditions. Each participant will gain a deeper understanding of the tremendous diagnostic potential of CBCT imaging as well as increased confidence in reviewing scans for abnormalities. In addition, you will learn how to interact with maxillofacial radiologists as the go to expert consultants.
Each participant will have a dedicated computer to allow for ample hands-on training.

The basic technology of Cone Beam CT imaging, associated radiation risks and how to best communicate them to patients

The right questions to ask when considering a CBCT unit for your practice for the best fit

The ability to know the best situations to take a CBCT scan

Understand the legal responsibilities of being a CBCT owner

How to systematically scroll through a volume and recognize normal anatomy

and the radiographic signs of abnormalities in CBCT volumes though a rigorous
